CASOC
presents a Practice Event:
CASOC Honors the Berrys
When:  Saturday, May 24, 2008
Where:  Auto Club Speedway
Fees:  Limited to 80 participants
CASOC members $25 (must work), all others $60
Junior karts may run free at lunch

CASOC members and guests should get their entries in two weeks prior to ensure your spot. Board members and core workers automatically qualify as guests. The remaining spots will be filled by checks in the order received. The entry list will be posted by May 14.

This will be a Tom Berry designed course. If you want to experience autox at its' best, this is where you want to be. Get your checks in early and often.

Please do not send cash, money orders, travelers checks, etc. as these may give Steve indigestion. Don't ask what he does with them.

Times:  Tech/Registration 7:00 - 8:30
Course closes for walking at 8:30
Drivers meeting 8:45
First car out at 9:00

12 runs each (3 runs per session marked off in grid)

Four run groups: one working, two running, one resting before work.

Each participant will work twice, about 45 minutes each.

One hour lunch break 
Safety:  Held under the SCCA Solo Rules and the CSCC Solo Supplemental Regulations.

Helmets must conform to Snell 95 or newer. Some loaner helmets will be available.

No alcohol or other intoxicants may be used by anyone on the event site.

Speed limits - Pits 5 MPH; Access road 25 MPH
 
Special Rules:  Children under 18 years old MUST have a waiver signed by BOTH parents.

Closed exhaust - 95db noise standard.

As per CASOC Special Order, CASOC instructors will be available to anyone in possession of a GT2, GT3, Carerra 4S, Z06, Viper, or any other high horsepower rear wheel or all wheel drive car. Event master or his assigned agent must first make safety runs in said vehicles to insure the safety of all concerned. More than one run may be necessary. GRA members are especially encouraged to avail themselves of this service.

At this practice we will be honoring Tom and Theresa Berry (Mr. & Mrs. CASOC) who each year graciously open their home to CASOC members and guests for our annual holiday party. Tom is also instrumental in organizing one of Southern California's premier autox events, The Pro Solo. Thank you Tom and Theresa for your hospitality, your kindness and hard work. Your entries are on us.
